5000 Sokol Blosser Lane

5000 Sokol Blosser Lane in Dundee Oregon is where this fabulous little discovery comes from.

I went to my favorite little Wine bar this weekend and was in a particularly “off” mood for drinking. Dunno why… it happens. Vintage 1740 on Boston in Tulsa is a great little place for meeting friends and, for me, a chance to sample a fairly regularly evolving wine list. Not the kind of wine list that makes your head spin from sticker shock. But good mid-line priced, “not-afraid-to-tell-your-friends-about-it” wine choices!

Meditrina

So I sat in my favorite antiquated crushed velvet chair and picked “Meditrina.” She was about $9 a glass, retail, and tasted like more! She’s named after the Roman Goddess of Wine and Health. I love it… why not! I am not typically drawn to a Pinot Nior when I’m out… I usually go for Cabs. But it was, as I said, an “off” night. This was a blend, at that…. Pinot/Zin/Syrah!

Sounded fun and….. it was. Great structure (body of the wine) and it danced around in my mouth with flavors of lush fruit and spice. Really more spice on the nose than on the mouth…. but peppery, for sure! The four of us ended up drinking it, mainly because I wouldn’t shut up about it. It hit my mood perfectly which was a lucky shot on my first glass of the evening!

The Pinot adds the fruit base of this wine, while the Zin and Syrah provide the spicy smell and taste.. it’s an awesome party wine… blends usually are. It would be great with Chicken and many mid-level fare. Also you could actually drink this with mexican foods… something not very easy to pair.

Enjoy it, but it goes down easy… so consider yourself informed!

And we are LIVE

Jun 26

Those are words I never expected to hear concerning me! But alas, here we are.

I’m excited, scared, delighted, and overwhelmed by this whole process. I don’t know why… but it feels like I’m on camera (without the camera?!)

I hope that you find this blog entertaining more than anything. Life is to short to be so serious all the time. Trust me , I can get serious with the best of them… you’ll see that eventually. For now though… feel free to have fun, laugh a little, and learn a couple of things. Please  post as much as you would like and you can email me privately if your not a “public” type person!

I have been in Skincare for 19 years. Good lord, that’s  a lot of skin! And mine seems to be heading south as the years go by, just like most patients I see in the office.  We are ALL aging… which is better than the alternative! But it does bring up a good point… you really have to have realistic expectations.

If you look like this…

It is going to take a LOT to make you look like this…

I mean there is hope for everyone…but one must be realistic about what they can expect!!!!

So maybe this is a little dramatic, but you would be surprised at what some people want!  However, there are places and people out there that promise those changes with “no downtime” and “not much money”…. those people are lying to you! There are many things that can be done to help your over all aging process… and many are affordable and with little to no downtime. You just need to know what your looking for and what it will honestly take to get you where you want.

I will be discussing some of these things in this blog in the post to follow.

I look forward to getting to know all of you better and sharing my life with you…. if you are interested!

Until next time…
