The world from my view. Day 15, 2012

Jan 15

Retreat time…. I have found myself too plugged in lately. Or not plugged in enough… depending on the view you look at it from. I find myself attached to my phone, computer, someone else’s issues, political BS, whatever keeps me out of the moment. SO, a dear friend of mine suggested I check out for a bit. And check out, I did! This mystical little spot is SHOCKINGLY close to Tulsa… a mere 25 minute drive away and you feel as though you are hundreds of miles away. It’s now called the Osage Forest of Peace… it was, not so long ago, a Benedictine Monestary, and has evolved into a sacred space that encompasses all religions and spiritual paths… they offer a multitude of levels of involvement on this 45 acre spot in the Osage forest… I chose the least of which, because my objective was, as we said, to check out!

So I went for a fabulous 24 hour period Friday afternoon until Saturday…. and loved every moment of it. So peaceful and calming… no phone, no computer, no one but me and the earth and all that I hold sacred. I hiked for two hours, stopping at these spots along the way to take it all in. It was a beautiful day on Friday and made for perfect hiking weather. I met a couple of furry friends on the journey who led me through the maze of trails and safely back to my one room cabin where I was able to sit in silence and quiet my mind… which if you know me… is a task! LOL

These are some of the shots I snapped along the way…. I knew I would want to share them with you. If you want info on this place… they can be found at www.forestofpeace.org or contact me and I will get you the info. A simple escape to yourself is easily obtained by just heading west from Tulsa…. well worth it!

The world from my view. Day 291 (Oct 21, 2011)

Oct 23

You really have to see these as a series…. Mea called it Dance Party. I love these kids…. such fun ages and such fun personalities. Gus is the happiest baby to ever walk the earth. He is SO happy to be here. And Millie is pretty happy he is here too! Mil has always liked to spend time in the crib… but now that Gus has one… it’s more fun to play in his. I’m pretty sure the song playing is “Moves like Jagger”…. the girl is gonna be a rockstar/batman/ princess/cowgirl…. at least as of today. Could you just eat Gussie or what?

The world from my view. Day 268 (Sept 25, 2011)

Sep 25

Excuse me…. why do my stairs not lead anywhere, right now?

Oooohhhhhh, I see…. a new humongous bed! Yay… now we all fit!

I didn’t mean…. ALL…. yuck. He is SO a brother from another mother!

If he is staying in here with us… I’m gonna need a new flat screen.

The world from my view. Day 41 (Feb 10, 2011)

Feb 10

I think to myself sometimes… do people even care about what my view of the world is… and truthfully… often probably not! But as I go through my day… I kind of think of things differently and wonder if you readers would be interested.. and somedays there are cool things and sometimes not…. SO, I guess it makes me feel better to think that if you don’t like reading something I have said or seeing the P.O.D….. then you can just skip over it…

That was a bit of therapy at work… LOL…. just talking out feelings…

So I have found this drink that I’m kind of obsessed with figuring out. It’s at Whole Foods and is delicious… but strange and a little “buzz” inducing…. I swear! It’s supposedly fermented “mushroom”… but tastes like Cranberry and Sprite mixed together… yummy!  My friend MC told me about it and she kind of giggled when she mentioned it… didn’t tell me about the buzzy feeling… literally, I was thirsty when I drank it and so drank it rather quickly… Weird, but I felt a little tipsy! Fermenting has a way of doing that ya know….

Check it out! The yucky looking stuff in the bottom is the mushroom thingy…. I dunno…. but it’s good and supposed to be good for  you! If I turn up dead soon… blame the “Kombucha”!!!!!
